Last Sunday
It was a crisp Autumn morning as the congregation gathered together for worship.
Rodney Lawrence opened our time together by asking for announcements. Jane E and Kristen McC both talked about joys in their life. Bill S, Jennifer L, Vicki R, Sharon N, Betsy R, Junior R and Anita L each talked about prayer concerns.
It was a beautiful Autumn Day as the church gathered together for worship.
Rodney Lawrence called for the congregation’s attention as he asked for announcements and other concerns that needed to be shared.
Kim N and Jody D shared joys with us all.
Vanessa D, Ginny M, Connie H, Kelly F, Linda O, Betsy R and Regina G each shared a prayer concern with the congregation.
Rodney Lawrence called our worship service to order as he asked for announcements. The church is hosting a prayer vigil on Thursday, October 30 to prepare for Election Day.
Only Kim N and Joe B shared prayer concerns with the family.
Chad Dennison was our Liturgist of the morning. He read from Matthew 21:21-22. He reminded us that we all have mountains in this life. We must keep in mind that God is bigger than anything we will ever face.
Our opening songs were “O Worship the King” and “My Tribute.”
It was another warm and beautiful weekend as the church family gathered together for worship.
Rodney Lawrence called the crowd to order by asking for any announcements. Dave B, Jeff N, Jennifer L, Renita H and Linda O each shared a joy from their life with the congregation. Kim N, Anita L and Jennifer L each shared a prayer concern from their life.
Our church historian, LaVaughn Stong gave a brief presentation about Christopher Columbus.
There was a chill in the air and much good talk among friends as the crowd gathered for worship.

It was a beautiful autumn day as the congregation gathered together. The more the clocked ticked near the starting time the more clear that it was that our people had obligations beyond worshiping together.

There was a heavy feel to the air before the cold misty rain started to fall. Inside the church one could easily find a warm handshake and a friend waiting to chat with all who gathered.
Larry Pownell, the liturgist of the morning, call our worship service was called to order.
Dave Need, the spokes person for the worship committee, gave a report on what their group has been doing. He also gave a reminder of some general rules for those who serve as liturgist, song leader, children’s message and others to keep in mind when participating in the worship service.
School started this past week here in Rossville. As our crowd gathered together for worship there was much excitement in the air.
Rodney Lawrence led our opening time. Chad D, Olivia L, Conner R and Sharon N each shared moments of how they had seen God at work in their lives. Kelley F, Jodie D, Rusty M, Linda O, Helen D, Sue M, LaVaughn S, and Jennifer L each shared prayer concerns with the congregation.
This was the Sunday before schools starts here in Rossville. As the people gathered there was the mix of emotions from the crowd. This was also the Sunday that the youth director promoted the new sixth graders into the youth group. What excitement in the youth group section.
Jeff Need led the announcement section. Vicki R, Megan Z, Debbie P, Buzz D, Jane R, Arlene G, Melissa H, Connie H, Parker B, Steve G, Jessica W, Julie W, Jennifer L, Dave B, and Phyllis H each shared either a joy from their week or a prayer request with the congregation.
A smaller than normal crowd gathered together for a morning of worship, it was clear that summer is coming to an end and families are enjoying a few days of vacation before school starts again in a few days.
Al Remaly led the announcement time. Kim N and Linda O had good things happen to them this past week for which they wanted to give God the glory. Lori N and Zoey G. had prayer concerns to share with the congregation.

As the congregation gathered together for worship everyone’s eyes were drawn to the front of the sanctuary. Over the past week a small crew from our church had taken down the paneling on the walls of the inset behind the pulpit. The walls have been painted a much more modern color. A few green plants have been added. The front is much more attractive.
A small crowd gathered together for worship on the Sunday following the Independence Day holiday. That didn’t dampen the spirits of the ones who were there.
Our church historian, LaVaughn Stong, led our worship service as we celebrated religious freedom in our country. LaVaughn stated her purpose of the service as 1) Celebrating the signing of the Declaration of Independence 2) Honor those who have served our country and 3) Worship God who has given us such gifts.
The congregation gathered together. There was much talk in excited as they waited for a time of worship to begin.
Mr. Remaly led the announcement time. Betsy R, Wilma G, Gina G and Jack H each has a word of praise to share with the congregation. Julie W and Chris W voiced a prayer concern.

Connie Hinesley led us in the opening praise songs of “This is My Commandment” and “Surely the Presence”.
The pastor led us in a time of prayer.
It was warm outside. Many gathered together to enjoy our worship service.

When the announcement time was completed, Dave Need honored our seniors. We had a breakfast for them during the Sunday school hour. Here in the worship service we gave them a gift certificate to The Carpenter’s Son bookstore.
RHS had graduated on Saturday. The air was filled with excited students and tired adults as we gathered together for worship.
